What do I need to do to prepare my pet and/or home for the grooming? Before your pets grooming appointment we strongly recommend, they have a chance to relieve themselves. They may want to have a meal first, but keep in mind if your pet is nervous, they may do better with an empty stomach, so they don’t get sick. Please inform us of any allergies as we do provide treats to encourage a more positive experience. We ask you to have a small area such as a bathroom or laundry room available for the groom with a tub/shower if you have opted for a bath. (plus towels) We provide everything else needed for the groom. As we do try our best to tidy up after each grooming appointment, there may be some tiny bits of hair left behind.

How can I prevent mats at home? Regular brushing and combing of your dog's coat are essential to prevent mats. It's important to avoid just brushing the top layer of fur, as mats can form close to the skin. This practice is particularly crucial for non-shedding breeds that enjoy swimming.

When should my puppy get their first groom? - The first visit for your puppy starts with an introductory puppy groom, 2 weeks after their last set of vaccinations. During their first visit your puppy will be introduced in a relaxed and fun way to the sights, sounds and smells of the grooming experience, with a puppy bath and light trimming. It is important to start at home with routine brushing and handling of their feet to encourage a positive experience for the future.
